How to batch convert WebP to JPG
- Click Choose a folder to add every image in a folder, or drop or choose files.
- Optional: set a name pattern, quality and background color before adding the files.
- The images are converted one after another. The bar shows the progress and the total size.
- Click Download all as ZIP when it is done.
Name patterns
The pattern decides the name of each JPG. The extension .jpg is added for you.
| Pattern | Result for banner.webp, 3rd file |
|---|---|
| {name} | banner.jpg |
| product-{n} | product-003.jpg |
| {name}-{w}x{h} | banner-1200x630.jpg |
| img-{n}-{name} | img-003-banner.jpg |
{n} is padded with zeros so the files sort in the right order. If two files end up with the same name, a number is added to the second one.
Speed and limits
Everything runs on your device, so the speed depends on your computer or phone. The images are converted one at a time to keep memory use low, which lets the browser handle large batches. On a phone, batches of 50 to 100 work best. You can add up to 200 files at once, and add more after downloading the ZIP and clicking Clear.
Where bulk conversion helps
- A folder of images saved from websites or an image downloader, all in WebP.
- Product pictures that an online shop, marketplace or email system only accepts as JPG.
- Exports from a CMS or an app that writes WebP, while the next tool needs JPG.
- Images for a presentation or a document where WebP does not display.
Check the transparent images
If some WebP files have transparent areas, they are filled with the background color you choose for the whole batch. Logos with a transparent background usually look best on white. Dark artwork may need a light gray or white background so it stays visible. Animated WebP files give only their first frame.
