Resize Image for Passport Photo
Passport and ID photos are specified in millimetres or inches for printing, and in pixels for online uploads. Choose a preset and the tool turns the size into pixels with the DPI (300 by default), crops the photo to the right shape and writes the DPI into the JPG.

How to use this page
- Add your photo.
- Choose a size in the Preset size list. The width, height and unit are filled in.
- Look at the result. If the crop cuts something you need, change Aspect ratio to Fit with padding.
- Download the file.
Tips
- The default Fill and crop cuts equally from both sides, so centre your face in the original first. This tool does not detect faces or check the official rules.
- Do not retouch or filter. Authorities reject edited photos.
- Always compare with the rules of your issuing authority. Sizes, head position and background vary and change.
- If the portal also has a file size limit, compress afterwards: compress a passport photo.
