Alphabetical, every letter
The table lists A to Z in order, including letters that never appear. That makes it easy to look up one letter, spot missing letters in a pangram, or copy a complete set of counts into a worksheet or spreadsheet.
Change the order
Switch the sort to most frequent first to rank letters by count. Use Copy as CSV to move the table into a spreadsheet.
Compare with English
The English average column lets you check each letter against typical usage. Large gaps often point to a short text, a different language or a coded message.
How to use it
- Paste your text.
- Read the A to Z table. Letters with a zero count are listed so nothing is missing.
- Use the English average column to compare each letter with typical usage.
Is it a pangram?
A pangram uses every letter at least once. If no letter in the table shows a zero, your text is a pangram. The sentence The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog is a classic example.
