Options
- Quality: from 95 (best) down to 75 (smallest).
- Target size: choose a limit such as 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB. The tool finds the highest quality that fits. If even the lowest quality is too large, it also scales the image down a little.
- Background: the color that replaces transparent areas. White, black, light gray or any color you pick.
- Maximum size: limit the longest side to 4000, 3000, 2000, 1600 or 1200 pixels. The aspect ratio is kept, and small images are never enlarged.
- Rotate and flip: turn the image 90, 180 or 270 degrees, or mirror it left to right.

How to get a JPG under 100 KB, 200 KB or 500 KB
Pick the size under Target size and add the image. The tool tries qualities from 95 down to about 20 and keeps the best one that fits. When the picture is large, the quality alone may not be enough, because a 4000 pixel photo is hard to fit into 100 KB. Set a maximum size such as 1200 or 1600 pixels as well. The result stays sharp on a screen and the file shrinks fast.
| Typical limit | Where you meet it | Try |
|---|---|---|
| 100 KB | Photo and signature fields on application forms | Target 100 KB, maximum size 1200 px |
| 200 KB | Profile pictures, small uploads | Target 200 KB, maximum size 1600 px |
| 500 KB | Email and web pages | Target 500 KB, maximum size 2000 px |
| 1 MB | Document portals, CMS uploads | Target 1 MB |
Always check the exact size and dimensions the form asks for. Some require a fixed width and height, which this tool does not set.
